NU Volleyball Wins Several Awards, Opens Postseason Tonight

Nebraska’s volleyball team dominated the Big Ten’s postseason awards announced yesterday. 

Huskers libero Lexi Rodriguez was named the league’s defensive player of the year.  Bergan Reilly became the first freshman to ever be chosen as setter of the year.  Outside hitter Harper Murray was voted Big Ten freshman of the year.  And John Cook was named the conference’s coach of the year. 

No. 1 Nebraska is hosting the first two rounds of the NCAA volleyball tournament tonight and tomorrow.  The Huskers face Long Island University tonight at 7 p.m.  Pregame coverage starts at 6 on News Talk 900 KJSK.
