NU Nabs State’s Top Prospect, Ainsworth TE Carter Nelson

Ainsworth tight end Carter Nelson, the top-ranked prospect in Nebraska, will play for the Huskers.
Nelson announced his decision yesterday via a livestream on Instagram from Ainsworth High. The Huskers landed the 6-foot-5, 215-pound four-star prospect over many other colleges, including Nelson’s other finalists – Georgia, Notre Dame and Penn State.
Nelson, who’s rated by 247Sports as the No. 7 tight end in the nation, is the 21st member of NU’s 2024 recruiting class and the 14th this month.
