NU Men Fall to Georgia Tech, Women Play Tonight

Jose Alvarado scored 19 of his 24 points in the second half to lead Georgia Tech to a 75-64 win over Nebraska last night. 

For the Huskers, Kobe Webster hit a career-best six 3-pointers en route to his first 20-point game of the season.  Dalano Banton had 17 points and nine rebounds for NU, which fell to 3-2. 

Nebraska visits Creighton tomorrow night.  It’s a 6 p.m. tipoff with Friday’s pre-game starting at 5 on News Talk 900 KJSK.  

Meanwhile, the Nebraska women’s basketball club opens Big Ten play tonight, when the Huskers welcome Illinois to Pinnacle Bank Arena.  NU is 2-0, while the Fighting Illini bring a 2-1 record to the Vault. 

Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. and the game will be televised on BTN.
