NU Football’s 16 Votes Ties for 34th in AP Preseason Rankings

The Huskers received a total of 16 votes to finish outside the preseason AP Top 25 college football poll unveiled Monday. 

Six teams from the Big Ten are ranked.  Ohio State is second, one spot behind top-ranked Georgia and one rung ahead of new conference member Oregon.  Penn State is No. 8, one spot in front of Michigan.  USC is 23rd and Iowa rounds out the Top 25. 

New league member Washington received 23 votes, while Nebraska’s 16 votes were one more than garnered by Wisconsin.
