NU Football Team Again Favored by About 10 Points at Purdue
Nebraska’s football team was favored by close to 10 points for last Friday’s home game against Illinois and it didn’t work out that way, with the Huskers getting stunned 31-24 in overtime.
On Saturday, the Big Red is a 10-point favorite as NU plays its first road game of the season at Purdue. The Boilermakers are just 1-2 on the season. Purdue cruised to a 49-0 victory in its season opener against Indiana State, was pounded by Notre Dame 66-7 and lost its first road game at Oregon State 38-21 last Saturday.
Nebraska’s last five Big Ten games have all been decided by seven or fewer points, including two in overtime. The last time a Huskers conference contest was decided by more than one score was a 31-14 win over Purdue in Lincoln last season.
Saturday’s kickoff at Purdue is set for 11 a.m. The pregame begins at 7 a.m. on News Talk 900 KJSK. It starts at 10:30 on 93.5 The Hawk.
