NU D-Line Coach Knighton Credits Rhule for His Success

Nebraska defensive line coach Terrence Knighton met with the media yesterday in Lincoln.  Knighton was asked what has allowed him to hit the ground so fast in recruiting for the Huskers.

“Coach Rhule came to Temple my sophomore year, he was my D-line coach.” Knighton said.  “The level of urgency that they had as coaches, it changed us as men.  This started just learning from them how they do things: the urgency they had with the classroom, being in the community, getting in shape, football, everything.  It’s just something they instilled in us.”

Knighton spent the past two seasons on Matt Rhule’s staff with the Carolina Panthers.  He’ll be in his fifth season as a defensive line coach this year.  He was a standout defensive lineman at Temple and played in the NFL for seven seasons.
