NU Baseball’s Olson, Anglim Earn Big Ten Honors

Nebraska baseball’s Emmett Olson and Garrett Anglim garnered All-Big Ten honors today.  Olson was named to the All-Big Ten Second Team, while Anglim was chosen to the conference’s freshman team. 

Olson finished the regular season ranked third in the league with a 2.86 ERA.  He was 3-3 in 19 appearances, including eight starts, with 65 strikeouts in 66 innings. 

Anglim led the Huskers with a .303 batting average.  The redshirt freshman stroked 11 doubles, four triples and four home runs.  He had 28 RBI and scored 28 runs in 49 games.  The La Vista native started in all of Nebraska’s 24 conference games, hitting .313.  Anglim tied a school record, becoming the fourth Husker to ever belt three homers in a game, coming in a 12-1 romp over Iowa.
