Norfolk City Council Passes Mask Mandate
NORFOLK- The Norfolk City Council unanimously passed a mask mandate Monday that will go into effect Thursday.
The ordinance requires people age 5 or older to wear a face covering at any indoor premises open to the public. An exception is made for when a person can maintain 6 feet of social distance from anyone who’s not a member of his or her household. There is a $25 fine for violating the ordinance.
The ordinance will expire at midnight on February 16, unless the council moves to end it sooner.
