The NFL Draft opened last night in Las Vegas and no Nebraska players were selected in the first round. 

It marked the 11th straight year that no Huskers were picked in the opening round of the draft.  Two Huskers – cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt and center Cam Jurgens have been projected as second round picks. 

The Kansas City Chiefs traded up to select Washington cornerback Trent McDuffie with the 21st pick last night.  KC used its pick at No. 30 to grab defensive end George Karlaftis of Purdue.
