Three local prep girls wrestlers and six others from the area have qualified for the first girls state meet.

Lakeview’s Lacy Lemburg, who won a district title last Saturday, will be joined by Vikings teammate Makiaya DeLaCruz in Omaha.  Columbus High’s Danica Taylor is the other local qualifier.

Four Schuyler girls grapplers are headed to state, including Hasley Salgado, Courtney Briones, Carly Wemhoff and Gina Alba.  Also among the 144 competitors at state will be Allie Burke of High Plains Community and Boone Central’s Belle Brodersen.  The girls’ meet is set for February 18-19.
