Nebraska Volleyball No. 1, Creighton No. 18 in Preseason Poll

The Nebraska volleyball team is No. 1 in the preseason AVCA Coaches Poll. 

The Huskers got 24 first-place votes, while No. 2 Texas had 27.  But, the Huskers collected 1,538 points to edge the Longhorns by 10 points.  Two other Big Ten teams are near the top.  Wisconsin is No. 3 and Minnesota is ranked fifth.  Louisville is No. 4.  Creighton is ranked No. 18 in the preseason poll. 

The last time the Huskers were ranked No. 1 to start a season was in 2016.  Last year, Nebraska fell to Wisconsin 3-2 in the NCAA Championship match.
