Nebraska Football Fans Invited to Meet Matt Rhule Today

Matt Rhule will be introduced as Nebraska’s football coach this afternoon and Husker fans are invited to Memorial Stadium for the event. 

Fans gathered at Gate 20 on the east side of the stadium at 12:50 p.m. will have the first chance to welcome Rhule before he attends a 1:30 p.m. press conference inside the Hawks Championship Center.  Fans will be invited inside Memorial Stadium to watch the press conference live on the stadium big screen. 

Those who can’t make it to the stadium can watch a live video stream starting at 12:30 p.m. on Huskers.com and through Nebraska’s official social media channels.  Details of the 47-year old Rhule’s eight-year contract are expected to be announced. 

Meanwhile, multiple media reports say Rhule has hired three assistant coaches who were on his Carolina Panthers’ staff.  They include former Panthers cornerbacks coach Evan Cooper, assistant defensive line coach Terrance Knighton and strength coach Corey Campbell.
