LINCOLN, Neb. September 21, 2022 – All layers in Nebraska during August 2022 totaled 5.90 million, down from 8.16 million the previous year, according to the USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service.
Nebraska egg production during August totaled 145 million eggs, down from 205 million in 2021. August egg production per 100 layers was 2,462 eggs, compared to 2,509 eggs in 2021.
