The NCAA has extended by one month the recruiting dead period for all college sports.  The ban on college coaches making in-home visits and hosting recruits on campus now runs through July 31.

The extension also means prospect camps like Nebraska’s Friday Night Lights camp are unlikely to be held.

The extension through July mainly impacts the college basketball recruiting calendar.  College football isn’t affected as much by the ruling.

The NCAA also said that starting next Monday strength and conditioning coaches may virtually observe voluntary workouts for health and safety purposes, but only if requested by the student-athlete.
