Mustard, Pelan Lead Lakeview Seniors to Road Win

Eric Mustard and Caden Pelan – the top two batters in the Bank of the Valley Lakeview Seniors’ lineup last night – led their team to a 12-3 win on the road over Hooper-Scribner. 

Mustard went 2-for-3 with a double, three RBI and three runs scored.  Pelan was 3-for-4 with four RBI and a run scored and was a home run shy of hitting for the cycle. 

Lakeview scored once in the first inning and erupted for six runs in the second to take a 7-0 lead.  The Seniors banged out 16 hits in the five inning contest to win their first road game after going 0-2 at home to start the season. 

The Seniors and the 2-0 Owens Wealth Advisors Lakeview Junior Reds will host Battle Creek tomorrow at Pawnee Park Field.  First pitch for the Junior Reds game is set for 5:30 p.m., with the Seniors contest Friday night to start at 8 o’clock.
