Murray “Deeply Regrets,” Takes Responsibility For Legal Woes

Just hours after being formally cited by Lincoln police, Nebraska volleyball player Harper Murray made her first public statement regarding her legal woes.

The 19-year old sophomore was cited yesterday for allegedly shoplifting at Scheel’s in Lincoln on May 2nd.  She was charged last month with several charges including driving under the influence.

In part of her statement on Instagram, Murray wrote: “I deeply regret some of the recent decisions I’ve made, and the pain that I have caused my family, my team, volleyball fans, and everyone who has supported me.  I take full responsibility for my actions.”

Murray was named Big Ten freshman of the year and earned third-team All-American honors last season.
