Moos on Sports Nightly: No Fall Football for Huskers
Nebraska’s football team is no longer looking at options for playing a non-conference schedule this fall.
NU Athletic Director Bill Moos made that clear last night speaking on Sports Nightly. He said having the Huskers play this fall was “not permissible” because the Big Ten didn’t cancel its football season, just postponed it with hopes of playing it in the spring.
Moos was asked if the events of the past few days put a strain on NU’s relationship with the conference. “No, I don’t think so,” he replied, adding: “We like the Big Ten. And we’re going to compete in the Big Ten. And we’re going to be successful in the Big Ten.”
Moos said he feels bad for the Huskers coaches, fans and most of all the players.
