Monday’s Area High School Basketball Scores

David City fell to Fairbury 62-38 in the Southern Nebraska Conference boys basketball tournament last night.  Elsewhere, the Riverside boys were downed by Lutheran High Northeast 68-53.

In girls action, the East Husker Conference tournament quarterfinals were held: Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family lost to BRLD 48-42, Clarkson/Leigh bowed to Oakland-Craig 54-40 for the Patriots’ first loss in 17 games this season, and North Bend Central beat Howells-Dodge 60-25.  In the consolation bracket, Twin River topped Tekamah-Herman 47-37.

In the Southern Nebraska Conference tourney, David City’s girls routed Wilber-Clatonia 56-15.  Riverside’s girls were drubbed by Lutheran High Northeast 81-15.

In high school hoops tonight, Columbus High’s boys will host Lincoln East in a make-up game at 7 p.m.  Meanwhile, Lakeview’s boys and girls will visit Seward.
