Monday’s American Legion Baseball Scoreboard

Lakeview’s American Legion baseball teams both posted home victories over Crofton in their season openers last night. 

The Bank of the Valley Lakeview Seniors won 16-4 in five innings.  Lakeview’s Kolby Blaser was 2-for-3 with a double, four RBI and two runs, while teammate Layne Forney went 3-for-3 with a double, two RBI and three runs. 

The Owens Wealth Advisors Lakeview Junior Reds topped Crofton 5-2.  Reds starter Landon Ternus gave up one run in three hitless innings, walking four with seven strikeouts.  Turner Halverson allowed one run over the final four frames.  The Lakeview Seniors will visit Schuyler tonight. 

Inclement weather apparently halted the Cornerstone Insurance Group Columbus Seniors’ game at Norfolk.  Cornerstone leads the unfinished game 2-0 in the second inning.
