McGowens Tabbed Top Freshman Of Past Week

Nebraska basketball’s Bryce McGowens was honored as Big Ten Freshman of the Week Monday for the second time in three weeks.
McGowens averaged 20 points, seven rebounds and four assists per game in helping the Huskers to a 2-0 record last week. He leads all conference freshmen in scoring at 17.7 points and ranks second in rebounding at 6.9 boards per game.
NU will visit NC State on Wednesday. Tipoff is set for 6:15 p.m., with the pregame starting an hour earlier on News Talk 900 KJSK.
