McGowens Sets NU Freshman Scoring Record in Loss

Bryce McGowens set Nebraska’s freshman scoring record last night at Northwestern in a 77-65 loss.

McGowens scored 15 points to give him 452 points in 27 games this season.  That surpassed the 445 points scored by Dave Hoppen in 32 games as a freshman during the 1982-83 season.  The loss dropped the Huskers to 7-20, 1-15 in the Big Ten.

NU will host Iowa Friday at 8 p.m. on News Talk 900 KJSK.
