McGowens Out 6-8 Weeks After Foot Surgery

The Nebraska men’s basketball team will be without the services of guard Trey McGowens for six to eight weeks.

That’s the prognosis after McGowens underwent surgery Wednesday afternoon to repair a broken bone in his right foot.  The injury occurred during the first half of the Huskers’ loss to Creighton Tuesday night.

McGowens, who had started all 30 games since transferring to NU prior to last season, is averaging 6.3 points and 5.0 rebounds per game this season.  He ranked second on the team with 10.7 points per game last year.
