McGowens, Markowski Nab Freshman Honors Again

A pair of Nebraska basketball players swept Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors yesterday.
Bryce McGowens won the men’s honor for the fifth time this season, while Alexis Markowski captured the women’s award for the sixth time.
McGowens averaged 17 points and 4.5 rebounds per game in two games last week. In three women’s contests, Markowski averaged 14 points and 10.3 boards.
The NU men host Minnesota tomorrow night, while the Husker women visit Ohio State on Thursday.
