Martinez Wants Huskers to Play With a “Sense of Urgency”

After a week off, the Nebraska football team is back in action this Saturday at Memorial Stadium against Purdue.  Quarterback Adrian Martinez says the bye week was helpful for the Huskers, not only physically but mentally.

He was asked if it creeps into his mind that these next four games could be the final ones of his NU career.  “You know, I might use a little of that to even increase the sense of urgency.”  Martinez reiterated that he won’t make a decision on whether to play one more season at Nebraska until after this season.

Saturday’s kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m.  The pregame show starts at 10:30 a.m. on News Talk 900 KJSK.  It will be joined at 2 p.m. on 93.5 The Hawk.
