Martinez Talks About Where the Huskers Need to Improve

Nebraska’s football team plays its home opener this Saturday against Fordham.  Quarterback Adrian Martinez met with the media following yesterday’s practice.

Looking back at the Huskers’ season-opening loss at Illinois, Martinez was asked what he was most disappointed about that didn’t translate from fall camp.  “I would say coming out strong and establishing that run game and being more consistent as a unit,” Martinez said.  “Coach Frost preaches about special teams, about the turnover battle and about the line of scrimmage and being physical.  We need to be more consistent in all of those areas.”

Saturday’s kickoff is set for 11 a.m. at Memorial Stadium.  The pre-game begins at 7 a.m. on News Talk 900 KJSK.  It will be joined at 10:30 on 93.5 The Hawk.
