The Nebraska football team, like all college teams nationally, did not practice on Election Day.  The Huskers’ preparations for their visit Saturday to Northwestern will resume today.

NU quarterback Adrian Martinez was asked by a reporter on Monday about the Wildcats’ comeback win over Iowa last Saturday.  “They did something similar to us the last time we traveled there…fought back and beat us,” Martinez said.  “They’re going to be a tough, hard-nosed football team who’s really not going to make a ton of mistakes….We’re going to have to match them physically and be detailed in our work.”

Saturday’s kickoff is set for 11 a.m.  The pre-game starts at 6 on News Talk 900 KJSK.  It will be joined at 10:30 on 93.5 The Hawk.
