Martinez, Allen Set Nebraska Records in Latest Close Loss

Quarterback Adrian Martinez set a new Nebraska career record for total offense, but it came in another close loss for the Huskers on Saturday. 

Martinez threw for 351 yards and rushed for 23 more in NU’s 35-28 loss at Wisconsin.  Martinez has accounted for 10,792 yards of total offense, passing Tommy Armstrong Jr.’s previous record of 10,690.  Tight end Austin Allen had seven receptions for 143 yards, setting a new school record for most receiving yards in a game.  His 36 catches this season also set a Nebraska record. 

The Huskers will conclude the season this Friday by hosting Iowa.
