Markowski Earns Big Ten Freshman of Week Honors

Alexis Markowski of the Nebraska women’s basketball squad was named yesterday as Big Ten Freshman of the Week.
The 2021 Nebraska High School Player of the Year out of Lincoln Pius X averaged six points and eight rebounds in 15 minutes per game during a pair of NU wins at a tourney in San Diego.
Through the first seven games of her college career, Markowski has averaged 8.6 points and 6.3 rebounds in about 14-and-a-half minutes per contest.
