Madison County Sheriff's Office Looking For Teen Who Threatened Man With Sword

MADISON- The Madison County Sheriff’s is looking for a teen who threatened an elderly man with a sword.

At 7:45 AM Friday, the elderly male was outside his residence in the 800 block of South Nebraska in Madison when he was approached from across the street by a younger man carrying what is described as a samurai sword. The suspect followed the man into his garage and forced his way into the house. During this time the suspect struck the resident in the back with the sword. The victim was able to reach a ball peen hammer and struck the suspect in the head with it. The suspect then fled on foot in an unknown direction. The suspect is described as a white male in his late teens wearing a blue hoodie and possibly yellow socks.

Authorities are asking the public to check any video cameras or video doorbells for video or photos of the suspect and provide those to law enforcement.
