Nebraska’s offensive coordinator Matt Lubick said he was very impressed with the poise shown by quarterback Luke McCaffrey against Penn State last Saturday.  In his first career start, the redshirt freshman helped lead the Huskers to their first win of the season.

Looking ahead to this Saturday’s home game against Illinois, Lubick said they’re a good defensive football team.  “They’re athletic on defense, they’re tough,” Lubick said. “I think they take pride in not giving up big plays – they’ve done a pretty good job of that.”

Saturday’s kickoff is set for 11 a.m.  The pre-game starts at 6 on News Talk 900 KJSK and will be joined at 10:30 on 93.5 The Hawk.
