Lubick Likes Players’ Focus Despite Distractions

Following the Nebraska football team’s practice yesterday, offensive coordinator Matt Lubick was asked how his players’ focus has been, despite some distractions.  Lubick said he likes “where we’re at right now from a focus standpoint.”

“It has been a long camp and a good camp,” Lubick said.  “A lot of improvement.  Our guys are excited to play an opponent.  We’re getting ready for that opponent and starting to do some scout looks and our guys are really excited and energetic about that instead of going against ourselves every day.   But, (I’m) really fired up about how our guys have prepared all camp.”

Lubick also called the Huskers a “much improved team,” but added “we still have a lot of work to do.”  NU kicks off its season next Saturday at Illinois.  Kickoff is at noon, with the pre-game starting at 8 a.m. on News Talk 900 KJSK.  It will be joined at 11:30 a.m. on 93.5 The Hawk.
