Lubick Impressed By Freshman Receivers Fleming, Betts

Nebraska wide receivers coach Matt Lubick met with reporters in a video conference following yesterday’s practice. 

The Huskers had two freshman receivers make their debut last Saturday at Northwestern in Marcus Fleming and Zavier Betts.  Lubick said he was impressed that both played with confidence in their first game.

“They did everything we asked of them,” Lubick said.  “As a matter of fact, they probably superseded our expectations.  So, they’re going to continue to get more plays and more opportunities.”  

The Huskers will play their home opener this Saturday against Penn State.  Kickoff at Memorial Stadium is set for 11 a.m.

The pre-game begins at 6 on News Talk 900 KJSK and will be joined at 10:30 on 93.5 The Hawk.
