The Nebraska football team’s last-second loss to Iowa on Friday, combined with other games’ results on Saturday, mean the Huskers will not go bowling for a third straight season. 

After NU fell to the Hawkeyes 27-24, Nebraska still had a slim chance to get to a bowl with a 5-7 record. But, once Michigan State beat Maryland and Liberty downed New Mexico State on Saturday, the Huskers knew their next game will come next season.
