Local Boys’ Results in State Bowling Singles Tourney

Columbus High’s Gavin Unger just missed making the championship bracket at the Class A boys state bowling singles tournament today. 

Unger had a four-game series of 823 to finish ninth in today’s qualifying at Sun Valley Lanes in Lincoln.  He was 20 pins shy of claiming the eighth and final spot in the championship bracket. 

In the Class B tourney, Lakeview’s Trenton Ditter finished in 14th at 749, one spot and four pins ahead of Trevor Boruch of Howells-Dodge.  The Vikings’ Daniel Borgman tied for 17th with Colter Schneider of Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family as each rolled a 706 series.  The Bulldogs’ Noah Stone had a 561 and finished last among the 30 bowlers who competed in the qualifying round.
