Ledecky Wins Her Shortest, Longest Races in Omaha

Katie Ledecky secured two Olympic bids last night at the U.S. Olympic swimming trials in Omaha.
The 24-year old won the 200-meter freestyle first. Soon after, Ledecky won the 1,500 free – a new event for the women at this year’s Tokyo Olympics.
Meanwhile, Josh Prenot failed to advance from yesterday’s preliminaries of the 200-meter breaststroke. The silver medalist from the 2016 Rio Games managed the 17th-best time, with only the top 16 advancing to the evening semifinals.
