Columbus High sophomore Sarah Lasso had the best score among four Discoverers competing in yesterday’s girls state golf tournament. 

Lasso shot a 15-over, 87 in the Class A tourney at Norfolk Country Club.  She was tied for 18th entering today’s final round. 

Columbus junior Jacey Hughes was in a tie for 26th after carding a 90, junior Kaidence Spiegel’s 94 had her tied for 44th and senior Sarah Massman’s 102 put her in a tie for 68th. 

Nicole Kolbas of Lincoln Pius X fired a one-under, 71 and was three shots ahead of Westside’s Kaitlyn Hanna, who’s trying to win a third state title. 

In the team standings, North Platte’s 324 was tops among 12 clubs, 13 strokes better than Pius.
