Lakeview’s Kucera, CHS’ Braun Sign Letters of Intent
Lakeview High senior Mallori Kucera will stay in Columbus to continue playing volleyball in college. Kucera signed a letter of intent yesterday to play for Central Community College.
She was a four-year letter winner who spent her freshman season at Aquinas and her last three years at Lakeview. Kucera earned All-State Honorable Mention from the Lincoln Journal Star last season after leading the Vikings with 57 blocks. Coach K.C. Belitz said Kucera anchored Lakeview in the middle, noting that she was a big part of the Vikings unprecedented run of 84 wins during the past three seasons.
Columbus High senior Carter Braun also signed a letter of intent on Wednesday. Braun will compete in cross country and track and field for Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa.
