Lakeview’s Juniors Season Ends With Loss to O’Neill

The Lakeview Bank of the Valley Juniors were eliminated from the B-5 area tournament last night, falling to O’Neill 10-1. 

Lakeview won its first two games in the tourney, including an 8-0 shutout of O’Neill on Saturday.  But, Bank of the Valley was downed by tournament host Central City/Fullerton 16-2 on Sunday.  After going 2-2 in the postseason, Lakeview ended the season with a 9-5 record. 

Central City is 3-0 in the tourney at Kernel Field and would have to fall to O’Neill twice tonight to not make the Class B Juniors state tournament.
