Lakeview Volleyball Falls in District Final; Other Area Teams' Results

Lakeview’s volleyball club saw its season end Saturday in a district final loss.

The Vikings fell in four sets to visiting Milford. Rallie Boyer had a team-best 17 kills for Lakeview, which wound up with a 22-10 record.

In another C1 district final, Clarkson/Leigh was upset by Gothenburg 3-2. Humphrey-Lindsay was edged 3-2 by St. Cecilia in C2. In D1, Nebraska Christian was upended in five sets by Diller-Odell. But, Howells-Dodge beat Brady 3-1, sending the Jaguars to the D1 state tournament. They are the No. 7 seed and face No. 2 BDS Thursday at 1 p.m. on 93.5 The Hawk.

Central Valley is in the D2 state tournament after sweeping Sandhills-Thedford Saturday. The fourth-seeded Cougars take on No. 5 Amherst Thursday at 11 a.m. on KZ-100.
