Lakeview Seniors Win, Earn a No. 1 Seed In League Tourney

The Bank of the Valley Lakeview Seniors played at West Point last night with a top seed in the upcoming league tournament on the line and Lakeview cruised to a 16-2 victory. 

Five different Lakeview batters had two hits apiece.  Eli Osten had a triple and five RBI.  Sam Kwapnioski doubled and homered and scored four runs.  Cooper Tessendorf had two RBI and tossed 3.1 innings of hitless relief, walking one with seven strikeouts. 

Lakeview improved to 13-0 and is the No. 1 seed in the south division of the Ralph Bishop League tourney.  They will host No. 8 seed Wisner-Pilger/Howells-Dodge Sunday,  First pitch at Pawnee Park, which was originally set for 3:30 p.m. , has been pushed back until 8 p.m. due to an umpiring issue. 

The Owens Wealth Advisors Lakeview Junior Reds fell at West Point 9-7, slipping to 8-6.  Lakeview is seeded fifth in the junior league tournament.  They’ll face Oakland-Craig at Pender tomorrow at 5 p.m.
