Lakeview Legion Seasons In Works, Columbus Signups Sunday

While the schedules for the two Columbus Legion baseball teams were released earlier this week, plans for Lakeview’s senior and junior teams’ seasons are still in the works. 

Travis Tessendorf, who coaches the Owens Wealth Advisors Lakeview Junior Reds, says their league’s schedule will most likely come out after June 3rd. 

A reminder: sign ups for the Columbus American Legion Baseball clubs will be this Sunday at 2 p.m. at Pawnee Park’s Legion Field.  Registration and waiver forms are available online at ColumbusLegionBaseball.com.  Parents are asked to fill out the forms and drop them off at Sunday’s signup event. 

The Cornerstone Insurance Group Columbus Seniors will be coached again by Cody Schilling, with Jimmy Johnson again coaching the Columbus United Federal Credit Union Junior Blues. 

Following recent guidelines issued by Governor Pete Ricketts, both Columbus teams will start practicing next Monday.  Their seasons open on June 18 and will run through late July.
