The Lakeview girls basketball club opened its postseason last night with a win over Wahoo, as a senior and a freshman made key shots in the C1-5 subdistrict tournament in North Bend.
Senior Kiara Kula had a team-high 13 points and hit a baseline jumper with 24 seconds left to break a 42-all tie. Freshman Kenzie Greisen added nine points, two coming on a pair of free throws to seal the win, which upped the Vikings record to 9-13.
In tonight’s semifinals on 93.5 The Hawk, Lakeview meets top-seeded North Bend Central at 6 p.m. It will be followed by No. 2 seed Scotus battling 3-seed David City.
