Lakeview Girls Basketball Listed As C-1 Contender
While Lakeview isn’t ranked in the preseason top 10, the Vikings girls basketball team is listed as a contender in Class C-1 by the Lincoln Journal Star.
North Bend Central, the defending C-1 champion, is ranked number 2 by the Journal Star, while the Tigers are number 1 in the Omaha World-Herald’s ratings. In C-2, the Clarkson/Leigh girls are ranked third by the Journal Star and fourth by the World-Herald.
In D-1, Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family is number 5 in the Lincoln paper and number 8 in the Omaha publication. Humphrey St. Francis is the top-ranked girls team in both rankings.
In the boys ratings, North Bend Central is number 9 in the World-Herald and is a C-1 contender in the Journal Star. In C-2, Cross County is number 10 in both rankings.
Both papers have H/LHF number 1 in D-1, while Howells-Dodge is number 4 in the Omaha rankings. In D2, St. Francis is third in the Journal Star ratings and sixth in the World-Herald, while Osceola is number 7 in both.
