Despite suffering a 3-point loss at top ranked Wayne last Friday, Lakeview’s football team has entered the Omaha World-Herald’s Class C-1 rankings this week.

The Vikings, who are 1-2 on the season, are ranked number 10.

Aquinas, which defeated Scotus 21-6 last Friday, held onto the number 2 spot in Class C-2.  The Monarchs only trail defending state champion Oakland-Craig.

In D-1, Cross County moved up one spot to number 3 following the Cougars 28-0 win over Howells-Dodge.  That loss dropped the Jaguars three places to number 6.

In D-2, Humphrey St. Francis remains number 2 behind BDS, while Osceola stays at number 3.

All three city schools are listed as contenders in their respective classes by the Lincoln Journal Star.
