Lakeview Digs Win, More State Volleyball on the Air Today
Lakeview’s volleyball team was digging its opening round win – literally – as the Class C1 state tournament got underway yesterday. The Vikings posted 93 digs as they swept Syracuse 25-17, 25-13, 25-21.
Maddi Vogt had 17 kills and 15 digs, Lilly Rowe added 10 kills and 14 digs, and Jordie Nekl led the Lady Vikes with 25 digs.
Lakeview advanced to Friday’s semifinal against top-seeded Kearney Catholic, which downed Pierce 3-0 yesterday. Tomorrow’s match at 1 p.m. will be broadcast on KLIR 101.
