Lakeview Boys Win District Track and Field Title

The Lakeview boys claimed the B-4 district team title yesterday at Pawnee Park’s Memorial Stadium.
Landon Ternus won a district championship in the discus throw and the shot put. Adam Van Cleave earned the gold medal in the 200-meter dash and was part of Lakeview’s 4X100-meter relay team that placed first. In girls’ action, Lakeview’s Blake Barcel won both the 200 and 400-meter dashes. That helped the Vikings girls finish fourth of out eleven teams.
The Scotus girls placed sixth, while the Shamrocks boys finished eleventh. No Shamrocks won district championships, but Grace Mustard earned silver medals in the girls long jump and 100-meter hurdles.
