Lakeview Boys, Schuyler Girls Win Conference Wrestling Crowns

Lakeview boys wrestling won a Central Conference title on Saturday. 

The Vikings scored 245 points in the meet at Lakeview, finishing 48 points ahead of Aurora.  Schuyler’s boys placed fifth out of ten teams.  Four Lakeview wrestlers won gold medals, including Pablo Tellez, Andon Stenger, Owen Bargen and Hayden Johnston. 

In the girls conference tourney, Schuyler topped the field with 190 points, while Lakeview was fourth out of seven clubs.  Libby Held was the Vikings lone first-place finisher.
