Lakeview Boys Drop Central Conference Tourney Game

The Lakeview boys basketball team fell at Grand Island Northwest 56-40 in the opening round of the Central Conference tournament.
Lakeview led 20-19 at halftime, but was outscored 37-20 in the second half. Last night’s loss dropped the Vikings to 4-13 on the season.
In the other boys’ play-in game, Schuyler bowed at Lexington 56-29. The Warriors slipped to 3-12. Lakeview will meet Schuyler in a boys consolation game at Seward on Saturday.
In the girls tourney, Schuyler suffered a 47-14 loss at Crete last night and will play Lexington in Saturday’s consolation round. Lakeview hosts Aurora in a girls quarterfinal tonight at 6 p.m.
