Lakeview Battles Syracuse Today in State Volleyball Tourney
To understand how competitive the Class C1 state volleyball tournament is this year, you only need to look at the record of Lakeview’s opponent in today’s opening round.
Syracuse is seeded fifth out of the eight C1 clubs that will take the court today at Pinnacle Bank Arena. But the Rockets own a 28-1 record. The fourth-seeded Vikings are 30-4 on the season. Play-by-play of the match will be aired on KLIR 101. First serve is set for 3 p.m.
The winner will take on the winner of today’s 1 p.m. match between top-seeded Kearney Catholic and number 8 Pierce in Friday’s semifinals. Today’s other C1 matchups have number 2 GICC against seventh-seeded Gothenburg and 3-seed Lincoln Lutheran facing number 6 Bishop Neumann.
