Lakeview Basketball Teams Split Season Openers at Boone Central

Lakeview’s basketball clubs split their season opening games at Boone Central. 

The Vikings boys downed the Cardinals 77-62, while the Lakeview girls bowed 63-30.  In the boys game, Jacob Dawson led the Vikings with 19 points, while Clayton Thomson and Grayson Vogt added 15 apiece. 

Boone Central raced out to a 32-4 lead after one quarter of the girls game.  Hadley Hornung paced the Vikings with 16 points in the loss. 

Both Lakeview squads host Arlington on Saturday, while the Cards teams visit Hartington Cedar Catholic tonight.
